the guy was a legend tbh, reforming the church was something that had to be done, the people who were running it at that time fell from the grace of the lord, and this guy helped make a better religious establishment, wich is nice.
I don't really like this guy. Instead of helping the Church purify itself he divided the Christendom which fell into decades of wars. He supported the state taking over religious issues, slammed rational thinking, advocated violence towards Catholics, Anabaptists and Jews.
Read Brad Gregory's "Unintended Reformation" (you can find pdf on Library Genesis or buy). Reformers started secularization process that created this joke called "modernity".
