idk I only read from KJV. I heard they change stuff in certain bibles.
I'm a big King James or go home kind of guy. No New King James version either.
Don’t know much about it but I do know it’s the one that The Lutheran Study Bible Uses.
I really like NKJV the one the orthodox study bible uses and it's just a nice modern English way to read it. It might not be as poetic as the KJV but I still prefer it. Also like EVS sometimes for the simplicity.
KJV just sounds better than the others honestly.
I read from KJV for its traditional purity, powerful romantic grandiose English, and unanimous defense by everyone that isn't a pozzed harpy, but if you're going to read from a modern comprehensible translation (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, sometimes clunky olde English can distract from the message) KJVdefense says it's more accurate than the NIV. Their article mentions ESV mistranslated David to Elhanan as the slayer of Goliath, changing "Nympha" (she) to "Nymphas" (he), and abridging/omitting: Matthew 23:14; Mark 7:16, 9:44,46, 11:26, 15:28; Luke 17:36, 23:17; John 5:4; Acts 8:37, 15:34, 24:7, 28:29; 1 John 5:7. This stuff isn't enough to discredit it entirely to me, I endorse KJV overall but still respect ESV as a solid modern pick.
I'm not Christian but I just wanna say I respect the hell out of yall for your beliefs, it sounds really complicated, there are like multiple versions and so many chapters and yall like remember phrases and the equivalent of the page numbers, just like, good on you.
thanks, but it isnt that hard if you take some notes tbh
reading the official shit is fucking trash, i prefer to read the ones that are in other languages, and then. compare them to the english ones
